The day of the wedding:

• Official symbolic ceremony conducted by a  Minister of Peace (a civil judge available at an additional charge)
• Bamboo canopy decorated with white drapes
• Ceremony table with white tablecloth

• Royal Hideaway allows only one wedding per day. All wedding dates must be confirmed by the wedding coordinator prior to booking travel
• Services of a priest, minister, or judge, documentation and other services not described above are available at an additional charge
• Semi-private dinners in specialty restaurants with over 20 guests will automatically become private event and subject to an extra charge per person for set-up in an alternate location
• The length of a semi private reception will be a maximum of one and a half hours, any additional time is subject to availability
• The menus for semi-private dinners are set by the chef
• Without exception, all events on the beach and in common areas must end by 11:00 pm
• External vendors are not permitted at the resort, a fee of $350.00 USD will be charged for each external vendor

Private Dinners:

• Private dinners are available in an area designated by the hotel for $55.00 USD per person and includes a 3 course dinner, open bar for 3 hours, basic set-up and wait servers. (Décor not included)
• Each additional hour of open bar (drinks only) is available at $20.00 USD per person and is only available for groups of 20 people or more

Deposit terms:

• A non-refundable deposit of $350.00 USD is required to confirm and hold a wedding date
• The non-refundable deposit will be applied to the cost of the wedding package chosen

Requirements for a Legal Wedding in Mexico

Documents Required:

• Marriage Application (Marriage request form) – the hotel's wedding specialist will provide the form
• Valid passports and drivers licences (or official photo ID's) for the bride and groom (+ photocopies of each)
• Original birth certificates for the bride and groom (+ photocopies of each)
• Valid passports or official photo ID’s for the 4 witnesses (+ photocopies of each)
• If the bride and/or groom is divorced or widowed, an original divorce or death certificate is required
• Tourist Visa cards for the bride, groom and witnesses (issued on your entry to Mexico)
• A blood test (name, blood type, syphilis and HIV) is required. The blood test must be done in Mexico by a government laboratory. An appointment will be made to have the sample taken at the hotel. The cost of $200.00 USD is to be paid in cash to the person administering the test

Other Requirements:

• All documents, except the passport, must be Apostille* by the authorities of the country where they were issued (if not Mexico). Birth certificates must be translated into Spanish by a certified translator.
• Passports and birth certificates must contain the same information
• The Tourist Visa card must be completed with the same information as shown on the official documents you will present
• There can be no marriage if either party tests positive for HIV
• If the bride is divorced in Canada and her passport is in her ex-husband's last name, she needs to bring an original birth certificate certified by the Mexican Consulate in Canada and translated into Spanish. In addition, the certification and her Tourist Visa card MUST be completed as per the name on the birth certificate
• If the bride is divorced in the United States or the United Kingdom and her passport is in her ex-husband's last name, she needs to bring an original birth certificate certified by an Apostille* in her home country and translated into Spanish. In addition, the Apostille* and her Tourist Visa card MUST be completed as per the name on the Birth Certificate
• You must be divorced for at least one year before remarrying in Mexico
• Original birth certificates and original divorce certificates will be kept by the Justice of the Peace. THEY WILL NOT BE RETURNED
• Laws and requirements are subject to change in accordance with Mexican Laws
• Please contact the wedding specialist if you have any questions and/or concerns regarding documentation
• The couple must leave a copy of the marriage certificate at the hotel before departing
• The marriage certificate, with the Apostille* seal, attesting to the legal marriage in Mexico will be sent (could take up to 3 to 4 months) to the couple at the couple's cost
