It’s home to some of the most magnificent ancient temples like Wat Chedi Luang in the Old City Walls and Wat Doi Suthep up in the mountains. It’s also home to amazing elephant sanctuaries that are dedicated to the preservation and proper treatment of elephants, which is not only a humbling experience, but something that is educational and unforgettable.
